Visitor Center
Jurassic World EvolutionThe exterior of the building is made of decorative concrete that follows an unusual concave curve. The lower front section, which has flowing water ducts and decorative foliage on either side, follows a convex curve and is split in half by the stairs which lead up to the main entrance door. To the left of the stairway are wheel chair accessible ramps. On the tinted doors is a design of an egg with light rays spawning from its center. Engraved around the door are decorative faux dinosaur fossils, with a relief of the park's skeleton mascot adorning the top of the door. Six tall black tinted windows, three on either side, spanned the building's facade. Keeping in line with the tropical retreat theme, the top of the building has three thatched, tiki-hut styled roofs with a larger one in the center to house the main entrance hall. The top also has guard rails, apparently for use as some kind of a observation deck. The Visitor Center is inseparable from the tour as the main vehicle garage was located in its basement. The tour cars exit the visitor center via the left side arm from the alcove. Lush rain-forest trees surround the area along with an observation pond and other decorative plants. (Jurassic Wiki) J.P. The Visitor Center is the heart of Isla Nublar. It acts as the control center and central hub for guest activities. All roads lead to rome, but on the island all roads lead to the V.C.
Jurassic Park 1993J.P. Concept artInside the main entrance rotunda, leading off to different parts of the building. There is a staircase leading to the balcony walkway and above that are glass windows bringing light into the hall. The middle of the hall shows two museum quality dinosaur skeleton replicas, one a Tyrannosaurus rex and the other a sauropod, Alamosaurus, suspends by cables in a fighting pose. Once again the hall is made of limestone with wood edges and the floor laid with black marble. At the rear of the room is a long illuminated wall length painting of dinosaurs in their natural habitat. The rear also leads to the restaurant and gift shop. A banner with the words "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" hangs across the hall.

The main mural seen in the background, blown up and printed onto transparent windows, are actually three 8 1/2 by 11 paintings painted by the famous naturalist painter Doug Henderson, depicting life in the Jurassic period. The ones on either sides of the doors (one is a Gallimimus, the other a group of Brachiosaurs) were two of the paintings while the other is the main center mural.

InGen Offices
Here is where many of the office functions for the Isla Nublar resort takes place. InGen provides a full staff of office works on the island facility but also tries to keep most of the office duties to its main office location in San Diego.
The office space is limited inside the Visitor Center. Due to the limited size of the island space allocated for more office space has never been found.
15 offices are strung out through most of the Visitor Center thought the majority of have can be found near the rear of the Visitor Center.

Control Room
The interior of the room is large, consisting of several tables. Each table has roughly 3 computers on them, mostly Silicon Graphics or Macs.
The control room also housed a number of SGI Unix machines as well as the eight fridge-sized Thinking Machine CM-5 computers, that were used to crunch the numbers for the geneticists. |
On Isla Nublar there is no place more important than the control room. It controls all functions for Jurassic Park and ensures the safety of its staff and guests. Located on the second floor of the Visitor Center. The control room can be glimpsed during the Showcase Theater show.
|
All machines formed a network that was set up by Integrated Computer Systems, Inc and allowed the Macs to interact with the Unix machines. The computers provided enough automation to run the entire park with minimal staff for up to three days.
A central projection screen displayed important information for the staff, for example, when the visitors left the tour vehicles during the Safari Tour, it instantly showed a schematic view of the vehicle.

Genetics Lab
The genetics lab is single room dedicated to the genetic engineering process that produces select Jurassic Park's dinosaurs. It is small compared to its sister Lab located on Isla Sorna. It contains computers, refrigeration units, embryo storage units, incubators, and other assorted lab equipment used by Jurassic Park scientists. This cleanroom is quarantined by an airlock to minimize contamination from the outside. The room is visible from the theater room and is showcased for visitors. The embryos were stored in a special chamber separate from the rest of the lab the room is referred to as Cold Storage.
Part of the lab is not showcased to the public is the Hatchery.
The hatchery is a section of Jurassic Park overseen by the Jurassic Park Scientists, and is adjacent to the genetics laboratory. Here is where fertilized eggs, mostly Ostrich and Emu, are placed in incubation areas and kept at a warm temperature for hatching. Each Incubator bay has a Mitsubishi Movemaster RV-M2 programmed to automatically rotate the eggs and hold them steady while hatching commenced. Moss is placed around the eggs to hold both heat and moisture in order to assist in the incubation process.

Cold Storage Room- RESTRICTED
The Cold Storage Room is an off limit and extremely restricted room inside the Visitor Center adjacent to the Genetics Lab. It is where dinosaur embryos are stored. The Cold Storage is separated from the main lab with a decontamination airlock.
What is it?
The dinosaur embryos stored here are very early embryos, Blastocysts (few hundred cells). The dinosaurs were cloned using paleo-DNA from mosquitoes trapped in amber. Liquid Nitrogen is pumped through each of the Embryo Chambers to keep the Embryos properly cooled.
Security features!
Added Security techniques have been added to the cold storage. It is now independent from the rest of the part systems and only InGen personnel with a Class 10 level may access it and no more than three class 10 people are allowed on the island at any one time and only one class 10 is allowed in the V.C. at any given moment.
Incase of a security breach!
If the airlock to the cold storage room is every breached a keycard is needed. If the independent sensors ever read an unknown heatsource you have 20 seconds to use your keycard or the Embryo containers will be lowered into a self contained and powered vault where only the CEO of InGen has the ability to open. The Vault has enough power to sustain itself for over 5 years without needing to be recharged.
Attempts to steal! Park history!
There are has only been to successful cases of embryonic breach. Dennis Nedry's failed sabatage event in 1993 and the blackmailing event of Dr. Jennifer Blake in 1994. (See Park History)

Visitor Center Kitchen
The kitchen is located inside the Visitor Center and adjacent to the Cretaceous Cafe. Jurassic Park's original chef Alejandro and the others have toiled countless hours preparing amazing meals for Isla Nublar's guests. The Kitchen is equipped with state of the art and modern stainless steel kitchen appliances, cupboards and various utensils, pots and pans of every kind. There are two doors that afforded passage to and from the kitchen, one set on each side of the dining room back wall across from the Gift Shop. The doors must be opened via a handle, unlike most restaurant doorways that can simply be pushed open. The Kitchen has several large walk-in freezers.
Emergency Bunker
The Emergency Bunker is a room located underneath the laboratory that is accessible in emergencies like the1993 sabotage incident, 2005 Hurricane Beta, 2012 Mayan calendar breach, 2015 Peta riot, and 2016 hurricane Otto incident.
The emergency bunker is roughly 10 ft below ground and can be accessed from the outside by the Holding Pen, or inside from the Control Room. It has:
Shelves with maps of the park
Cabinets stocked with M16 rifles, HK91 rifles, SPAS-12 shotguns and ammunition
Stone walls
Iron Doors
Walkie-Talkies
